The concreting of the last road slab of all the eight overpasses of the Adjoining Infrastructure to Danube Bridge Vidin-Calafat was completed.
Four of them are for roads (highway E79) and four are railway overpasses. Their total length is over 1000 m, the area is – 7969 m2. The concrete used for the constructions is 11 629 m3, and the reinforcement – 1365 tons.
Two types of piles are used for the foundation of the overpasses – 112 cast in-situ piles at the depth of max. 26 m and 976 driven piles with length from 8 to 13 m.
Finishing works are forthcoming, including the construction of: pavement blocks, parapets, elastic railings, waterproofing and asphaltwork.
The overpasses of the Adjoining Infrastructure to Danube Bridge Vidin-Calafat are entirely executed by “FCC Construccion” and the companies sub-contractors “Terratest”, “Armatek” and „ARMA” – Pleven.
