Many organizations use project management for its exceptional benefits. According to recent statistics, this is a fast growing profession and its demand will continue to increase in the future.
Bulgaria and Romania, as partner countries, have gained considerable experience in cross-border programs and project management has become one of the most important skills. Promoting the effectiveness of education and training is crucial in the context of the challenges posed by globalization, demographic change and rapid technological development. The labor market in the cross-border region is characterized by a lack of qualification for the working people and the education system is not related to the adequate needs of the business. The lack of well-trained medium-skilled human resources is the major challenge in both countries. A cross-border project could not solve these problems but could take action in this area to overcome such inconsistencies. Young people are the next generation of workers and it is our duty to prepare them to deal with the reality and demands of the labor market.
Leading partner in the project is the Association for Initiative and Support in Southeastern Romania - AISSER, and the Bulgarian partners are two organizations with rich experience in projects - Alternative for the Danube Association and Eurointegration Association.
The aim of the project is to support youth employment in the cross-border region by promoting the mobility and vocational training of young people as well as capacity building in the field of project management. The initiative will provide a unique opportunity for 375 high school students from Bulgaria and Romania to acquire professional skills and intercultural competences through a total of 15 trainings organized in the administrative districts of Vidin, Vratsa, Montana, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Rousse, Silistra, Dobrich from Bulgaria and Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calaras and Constanta from Romania.
The project started building a web-based platform that will give young people information about institutions and organizations from the eligible region conducting internships.
The project is carried out with the assistance of the School Board of the "Exarch Antim First" - Vidin and personally the chairperson Lili Tsanova.
