72,000 roses in one for the holiday of Kazanlak
Kazanlak Municipality congratulated the residents on the City Holiday with a magnificent colorful panel of 72,000 pink flowers, united in one beautiful rose – a symbol of unity of all residents of the municipality in a community that celebrates its traditions during a pandemic, the institution’s Press Center said. The big rose of thousands of fresh flowers was unfurled in front of the emblematic Rose Museum in Kazanlak’s favorite park “Rosarium” to the delight of passers-by.
Queen Rose 2020 Maria Petrova and her runners-up – Suzan Igleva and Stefani Krasteva, who from Kazanlak chose for the first time virtually, surrounded by all the graduates who joined online race for the crown, greeted their fellow citizens with a very pink color and colorful balloons in the sky over Kazanlak.
The flowers on the large pink panel were abundantly “disinfected” with fragrant rose water. They will be carefully collected to be scattered on the culminating Sunday, when the citizens of Kazanlak will greet Queen Rosa and her runners-up in the center, and the beauties will reach the homes of the residents of Kazanlak for the first time. Then the 72,000 pink flowers will be part of the royal greeting for the 117th Rose Festival.
