Vienna – ice rink and sun
Sonia Machorska
This winter in Vienna may not be snowy, but there is an ice rink in the city center again. Mobile, two floors – the only one in the world! The Vienna Ice Dream, as it is called in the city hall, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, according to Eurocomm-PR Vienna-Sofia. The opening was with professional skaters, and as of yesterday, all nonprofessionals have again reached the whole of 9000 sq.m. for real winter fun! The rink will run daily until March 1st. There are also skates for rent. And for those who don’t skate, there are delicious things to drink and eat.
Another interesting thing about the snowy winter of this year in the Austrian capital – every year, the deck chairs in the courtyard of the Museum Quarter in Vienna, 76 are in a new color and the color is determined by Viennese by online voting. This year, they chose green. Otherwise, there have been many different colors over the years. Last year’s sunbeds will go on sale in the spring and if one has a large enough balcony or garden they can buy one such sunbed for 600 euros. But lying in the courtyard of the museum complex is completely free.
