Romanian Exhibition in Vidin, Bulgaria

On the occasion of the National Day of Romanian Culture and Mihai Eminescu’s 170th Anniversary of the Classics of Romanian Literature, an exhibition of of paintings and tapestries was opened in Vidin by two Romanian authors. The exhibition is organized by the Romanian Cultural Center in Vidin, chaired by Ivan Juvetov, by the “Tsviat – 1870” Community Center, with secretary Lyubomir Iliev, and the Literary Society of Băilești, Romania.

His paintings were arranged by Onila Viorel from Slatina, Romania, for whom this is his first exhibition outside his home country. Badea Cristinel is a collector and master of tapestries, some of whom participate in the exhibition.

The guests of the opening of the exhibition read poems from Mihai Eminescu by the chairman of the Literary Society of Băilești. Her first book, “Album with Moving Photos” (“Albumul cu fotografii mișcat”) was presented by Mitel Girleanu. Folklore ensemble “Ropota” from Chuperchenii noy village and two guitarists from Romania filled the evening with emotions.

The Romanian Cultural Center in Vidin has been in existence for 12 years and has organized cultural events in Vidin and the region many times. The Center actively cooperates with cultural institutions from Romania.
