The old houses of Vidin and Dolj

Pictures of 82 masterpieces of architecture from Bulgaria and Romania were arranged at the Cross Barracks Museum in Vidin. Photo boards are made by the project “Revival of the Architectural Heritage in the Vidin and Dolj Districts” is already available to tourists and scientists. The project lasted 24 months under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Program. Leading partner is the Association for Tourism Promotion – Vidin and the Romanian side – the Romanian Association for Electronic Industry and Software – Oltenia.
The main objective of the project is to promote the cultural heritage of the two regions to attract tourists and to be represented outside the region. The idea is that, thanks to the Project, sustainable tourism development will be achieved on the basis of the available cultural and historical resources, the association announced in Vidin.
During the two-year activity, information on architectural monuments in the regions of Vidin and Dolj was collected and analyzed. Circles for 3D scanning, modeling and printing of architectural monuments and other objects were created. A film and a catalog of architectural buildings were made. Two specialized seminars for architects, construction engineers and construction companies are organized.
The published Architectural Heritage in the regions of Vidin (Bulgaria) and Dolj (Romania) includes 40 public and private architectural monuments from Vidin and 42 from Dolj.
